Helix Nebula

NGC 7293

 

Exposure:                   L = 120 min 1x1, RGB 60 min 2x2 each
Date:                           Sept 2011.

Comments: This planetary nebula may be in the shape of a helix, or may be an hourglass shape with one end toward us.

It is also cataloged as Caldwell C63, and PLN 36-57.1. The small blue star in the center is 13th magnitude.
